1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GetSurfaced ("the Service") at getsurfaced.online, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including businesses and individuals.

2. Description of Service

GetSurfaced is a software-as-a-service platform that assists businesses in building an authentic presence on Reddit to improve visibility in AI language model responses. The Service includes website analysis, subreddit discovery, content generation, scheduling, and Reddit account health monitoring. The Service uses Reddit's official API and operates in compliance with Reddit's API Terms of Service.

3. Reddit API Compliance

GetSurfaced uses Reddit's official API. By using our Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for ensuring your use of Reddit through our platform complies with Reddit's User Agreement and Content Policy.
  • You must create dedicated Reddit script app credentials for use with GetSurfaced — you may not use credentials belonging to another person or entity.
  • You will not use the Service to post spam, misleading content, or content that violates Reddit's rules or any applicable subreddit's rules.
  • GetSurfaced's account maturity gating and safety features are designed to reduce risk, but we cannot guarantee that your Reddit account will not be actioned by Reddit. You use the Service at your own risk with respect to your Reddit account status.
  • You are solely responsible for the Reddit accounts you connect to the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or deceptive
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other Reddit users
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Circumvent Reddit's spam detection or safety systems in ways that violate Reddit's Terms
  • Post content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior as defined by Reddit's policies
  • Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these Terms

GetSurfaced reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use policies without prior notice.

5. Content Ownership and Responsibility

You retain ownership of your business information and any content you provide to the Service. Content generated by the Service's AI tools is provided as a draft for your review — you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before it is posted to Reddit.

By approving content for posting, you represent that the content complies with Reddit's rules, the rules of the relevant subreddit, and these Terms. You are solely responsible for the content that is posted to Reddit through the Service.

6. Subscription and Billing

GetSurfaced offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RESULTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CITATIONS BY AI LANGUAGE MODELS, REDDIT KARMA ACCUMULATION, OR BUSINESS OUTCOMES.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GETSURFACED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GetSurfaced and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights, including Reddit's Terms of Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
